Human [with DJ Grazzhoppa #2]

human-with-dj-grazzhoppa-2

It's an extremely warm welcome back this week with the return of the mastermind behind one of my favourite Human's thus far, DJ Grazzhoppa. It's the follow up to his Slam My Breaks mix with another tripped out turntable masterclass. This guy oozes raw talent and a keen ear for the funkiest freakiest breaks in the universe. Delighted he agreed to make a follow up. There's a link below to his previous outing with further page links attached. Many thanks Wim and to everyone who tunes in. Love to you all, peace xxx

Professor Brian Oblivion - Autumn Skies

For as long as I can remember, Autumn has always carried with it a mix of joy and melancholy. A time of transition and reflection.
The air is cool and crisp, the leaves are turning amber and scarlet, and there is a sense of calmness that's familiar and comforting.
This collection of songs encompasses those feelings of the season for me.
The mix, presented here in two parts is my ode to Autumn.
This is an all vinyl mix using all original pressings
(for those of you that care about that sort of thing).

The Meters Really Mattered - DJ Format

the-meters-really-mattered-see-how-the-meters-influenced-a-whole-generation-of-80s-hip-hop-kids

As sampling evolved in the late '80s, The Meters' music was massively influential to a whole generation of Hip Hop kids.
This is a mix of Rap records from that era that had a major impact on me personally when growing up. It contains a lot of the vocal samples that I used, and some of the cuts/scratches that I paid homage to, in my songs The Meeting & He's Back. There's also a few interesting cover versions of The Meters songs thrown in for good measure...enjoy!
